NAYS announces Best Young Scientist Award 2012

National Academy of Young Scientists (NAYS) on Monday announced to give ‘Best young scientist award 2012’ in Inter-disciplinary sciences and asked scientists across the country to apply in confidence and show their research skills.
Pakistan Science Foundation (PSF) is sponsoring these awards for young brains and encouraging them for serving Pakistan with passion and honesty.
Giving details, NAYS Aftab President Ahmed said the researchers in the field of Interdisciplinary Research will be judged on the basis of quality of research, particularly contributing towards the Product, discovery, Phenomenon which interact at least two disciplines together.
He said NAYS firmly believes that engaging young scientists and utilizing their capabilities by better orientation, improvisation and execution would definitely bring a remarkable boom of science and technology in Pakistan.
NAYS has always been one step ahead for motivational and thought provoking activities for young scholar.
Last year we announced Best Young Scientist Award in Chemistry,” he said. He said nominees can download application forms in electronic format from the website of NAYS.
President NAYS said cash prize Rs.100,000, Rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 will be given to 1st, 2nd and third position holders, respectively.
The main objective of the award is promotion of scientific efforts of researchers and scientists, nationally and internationally.
Aftab Ahmed said such activities also motivate young scientists to do more quality research and prompt such projects as can be beneficial for the country.
