Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Lahore President & Member National Assembly (MNA) Muhammad Pervez Malik has said that the federal government is responsible for the civil disobedience, anarchy and unrest in the masses.
Not only their inability, but the corruption of the present regime is the major reason of the frightful energy crisis, he said.
In a press statement issued here Tuesday, Pervez Malik said that Pakistan, particularly the Punjab Province is facing the worst load shedding. He said that Punjab is of utmost importance as far as the economy, industrialization and revenue generation is concerned. He said that line losses were also at the lowest but federal government
was targeting the Punjab.
He said that industry in Punjab was being crumpled and not only are millions of industrial workers, but almost 100 million people facing poverty, starvation, unemployment and unrest due to the historical electricity shortage. However, instead of taking corrective measures, the PPP government was dredging salt on the injuries of the nation.
Pervez Malik said that protest and hard reaction of the people against the 16-18 hours load shedding in Punjab was quite natural. “What will the people do when they have almost no electricity in the warm and breathless weather despite paying huge electricity bills?”
He said that the recent rally of PML-N was for expressing solidarity with the people and that PML-N will continue its efforts till the discriminatory attitude of the PPP-led government ends and there is justified electricity supply to the Punjab.
PML-N leader said that the federal government was responsible for the murder of those people who lost their lives during the protests. However, instead of showing sympathy, Federal Ministers and advisors were threatening the masses like roguish.
He appealed to the masses not to turn violent, but to keep away from damaging the public assets as these were the property of the nation.
He said that miscreants, external elements and extremists can benefit from this situation and can play their ugly role.
Pervez Malik said that PML-N will leave no stone unturned in protecting the rights of the nation and will not rest till their target was not achieved.
He said that PPP government doesnot have the ability to overcome the crisis.
It will be better for all if the corrupt element leaves the government them self before the nation is compelled to bring them in the justice box, he said.
