500 million tons of coal reserves found in Punjab: Shahbaz

As many as 500 million tons of coal reserves coal have been found in Punjab that would help stir the country out of energy crisis, said Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday.
Speaking in the Punjab Assembly, the chief minister said that an Australian company was assigned to carry out a survey in Jehlum. “Now, by the grace of Allah the company has presented its report that confirms coal reserves in the region,”
He questioned why the previous government didn’t carry out survey in Punjab.
Commenting over the ongoing protests against loadshedding, he said he would prefer to be murdered but, would not allow to fire shots at the people.

    • because it takes time to carry out a survey. it had been started around 2 to 3 years before.

  1. There would be great benfit of this project if it will started soon so that country would make fulfill the energy requirements.
