After a lull of one-and-a-half month, Young Doctors Association (YDA) of Punjab resumed their strike against the provincial government for not proving them the new service structure, adding to the miseries of thousands of patients.
The doctors boycotted indoor and outdoor services across the government hospitals of Punjab in favour of their demand that the government should issue a notification regarding the service structure as per the agreement made between YDA and the provincial health department authorities.
The annoyed young medical practitioners suspended services in operations treasures as well, however, emergency wards remained open.
They said the strike was being observed for indefinite period, threatening that emergency wards might also be closed if their demands were not met.
