Federal Minister for National Heritage Samina Khalid Ghurki on Sunday said that cultural activities promote national solidarity and love among people.
She was addressing an award giving ceremony on the fifth day of a folk festival at the Jallo Park.
She said folk festivals should be organised in all big cities as they provided entertainment to people besides promoting national harmony. Special stalls of art were also set up to introduce handicrafts and art of Khyber Pukhtunkhwa, Sindh, Kashmir, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan. Later, the minister gave away awards to the artistes who performed on the occasion.
