A private airline company, Air Blue celebrated the completion of its eight years of operations.
In this regard a cake-cutting ceremony was held at airline’s head office here on Monday.
Air Blue, a private sector airline, started operations in June 2004 and is Pakistan’s second largest airline. It operates an all Airbus A320 family aircraft fleet with an average age of less than 3 years and provides scheduled air service to 10 domestic and international destinations including UAE, Muscat,, Manchester and Istanbul.Air Blue has been recognized in the industry for its quality and innovative services,
Speaking on the occasion, Airblue Director Commercial Raheel Ahmed said the airline was committed to providing its customers with quality service and value, and stressed that a competitive environment in the industry was the need of the hour.
He further maintained that the airline has plans for inducting modern wide-body and turboprop aircraft into its fleet this year, adding more international routes and providing connections to major cities in Pakistan.
According to the airline management, all its aircraft have been cleared by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) according to the highest safety standards; Airblue has also received the Best Pakistani Airline award for the year 2012 from the Consumer Choice Association of Pakistan.
