PML-N and JI form pro-judiciary alliance

The PML-N and the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Saturday decided to form an alliance to ensure that the judiciary was respected and to get rid of the corrupt rulers
Addressing reporters after a meeting, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and JI chief Munawar Hussain said, “We have decided to form a grand alliance, in order to ensure the honour and independence of the judiciary in the country and to getting rid of the corrupt rulers.”
Both leaders said they would contact other political forces and committees from both parties would coordinate with each other in that regard. Shahbaz said the judiciary was the only ray of hope for the nation and “the whole nation is united and it stands for the independency of judiciary”.
He said Ali Baba and the 40 thieves were busy in looting, while load shedding had caused industrial, agricultural and business crises in the country.
The JI chief said, “We have agreed to rid the country of the corrupt leaders and ensure the honour and independency of the judiciary.”
He said both parties had agreed to form an alliance to ensure a concordant caretaker government besides a transparent election in the supervision of an impartial election commission.
Nawaz to visit AJK today” Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif will visit Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) today (Sunday).
During his tour, he would address the leaders and workers of his party’s AJK chapter in Muzaffarabad. He would also distribute compensation money among the relatives of Gayari avalanche victims on behalf of Punjab government at the rest house in Att Muqam.
