The Actors Foundation Pakistan has presented Life Time Achievement Award to Naheed Manzoor, Former Director Rawalpindi Arts Council for her services in the field of art and culture.
Actors Foundation Pakistan arranged a colorful ceremony in recognition of Naheed Manzoor’s services in the field of art and culture here on Sunday.
Member National Assembly Malik Shakeel Awan and Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate Member Punjab Assembly were the guests of honour for the ceremony.
President Actors Foundation Pakistan Masood Khawja and other senior artists Sajjad Kishwar, Ejaz Baig, Iffat Chaudhry, Asma Butt and Battin Farooqi demanded that accepting her services the Government of Punjab must appoint Naheed Manzoor as Life Time Consultant of Rawalpindi Arts Council so that she may render her services in serving art and culture.
Naheed Manzoor said that she reserved her life for promotion of art and culture and wants to continue it without any reward.
Raja Muhammad Hanif Advocate MPA said that he had been a student of Rawalpindi Arts Council and Naheed Manzoor’s services for this Council and struggle to establish it are matchless especially the travel from Tent age to Cultural Complex.
He further said that in spite of spending life for promotion of art and culture; she could not get reward that she deserved.
Malik Shakeel Awan MNA said that this region accepted the services of Naheed Manzoor and wastage of her talent meant for wastage of national asset.
He vowed that he along with Raja Muhammad Hanif appealed to Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif to get fulfilled the genuine demand of artists’ community.
At the end Famous Singers Musarat Jabeen, Ali Zeb and Ali Yasir received appreciation by singing songs.
