Three dacoits were killed in a police encounter in Qasim Bella area of the city on Friday.
Policemen at the check-post tried to stop suspected dacoits on motorcycle but they did not stop and tried to escape from the scene.
The police started firing and killed three dacoits at the spot.
Bodies of the dacoits were sent to Nishtar hospital for post mortem.
Few days ago, two terrorists were also arrested in the area.
