Coordinator to Chief Minister Sindh on Information Sharmila Faruqui has said that the people of Lyari are peace loving and they love Pakistan very much.
People of Lyari hate terrorism and young people of Lyari are second to none in talents. This she said while addressing as chief guest in `Fiesta 2012’ held at Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University on Thursday.
Sharmila stated that Lyari has talent and they will bring a good name to the country. In Lyari, there is a Medical College, a Medical University and Benazir Bhutto University.
She added that Benazir Bhutto Shaheed University could compete with all the universities and the students of this university are very talented.
Sharmila Faruqui said Rs 800 million have been allocated for the development of Lyari. She stated that in previous dictatorship periods, the rights were not given to the people of Lyari. However, the present democratic government is paying full attention towards development of area.
Sharmila appreciated the services of the Vice Chancellor of the University in organising such a beautiful show. She announced Rs 50 thousands for those students who participated in different tableaux (tableaux).
She also announced to pay full fee of a deserving student of the university. On this occasion she also distributed certificates among the achievers.
