A court bailiff raided the Factory Area police station on Thursday and recovered a girl alleged to have been raped by police officials.
According to details, the girl, along with her brother, was going to the Walton area in the city in a rickshaw, when they were stopped by police personnel at a picket on the pretext of checking the vehicle. The police officials reportedly misbehaved with the siblings.
Later, the police officials took them to the police station and asked for a bribe of Rs 50,000.
Over their refusal to pay, the girl was allegedly raped by four police personnel identified as Maqsood, Shehzad, Amin and Munawar. The victim’s brother field a complaint with the court, after which the court bailiff raided the Factory Area police station and recovered the girl.
A case has been registered against the policemen; however, no arrest has been made yet.
