Ghazal maestro’s death condoled

The Cultural Association of Pakistan Graduates executive council expressed grief over the death of ghazal king, Mehdi Hasan.
The association met on Thursday under the chairmanship of Senator SM Zafar. Addressing the meeting, Zafar highlighted the services of Mehdi Hasan, saying the artist ruled the field of music for the last 50 years.
Paying tribute to the late maestro, he said that Mehdi Hasan was a singer of international level. The Cultural Association of Pakistan Graduates will hold a condolence reference to highlight Hassan’s services in the field of music, he added. In the meeting, the association’s General Secretary Jameel Gishkori presented a condolence resolution which said Mehdi Hasan was a great singer of this era. He had a unique style of singing because of which he gained appreciation from music lovers. He was awarded a number of graduate awards as a best singer in various Pakistani films.
