Allama Muhammad Iqbal pulled the contemporary Muslim society out of the spirals of ignorance and restlessness through his poetry and showed them the right path to their destiny of achieving independence and ‘khudi.’ These views were expressed by Chairman Aiwan-e-Iqbal and Secretary General of the Central Majlis-e-Iqbal, Arif Nizami, at the opening ceremony of a camp “Iqbal ke Shaheen” (Iqbal’s Eagles), organised by Aiwan-e-Iqbal.
President Central Majlis-e-Iqbal Mian Afzal Hayat inaugurated the camp in which a large number of children participated. Mr Nizami said that though today’s rulers and politicians praised Quaid-e-Azam and Allama Iqbal but they have never tried to materialise their ideals into reality.
He said further that even if today we fully adopted Iqbal’s philosophy, Pakistan would get an honorable place among the other countries of the world. “Aiwan-e-Iqbal would leave no stones unturned to introduce the new generation with Iqbal’s thoughts,” he added.
While addressing the participating students, Mian Afzal Hayat said it was high time that Iqbal’s philosophy and thoughts were preached to the youth of Pakistan so that they could play a constructive role in the development of the country.
