Pakistan’s 19-year-old Davis Cup player Samir Iftikhar who has been flying Pakistanis flag high since 2010 with his tennis achievements at home and abroad achieved academic glory at University of New Mexico, USA where he finished his first year with 3.67 GPR out of 4 (All A Grades) and exhibited brilliant performance at the NCAA intervarsity Tennis with unbeaten record at conference matches last April. Samir’s US University Tennis coach Alan Dils in a message congratulated his father Pakistan Davis Cup player Tayyab Iftikhar. He highly praised the Pakistani youngster describing him as a player: “who believes in himself and believes he can win every match when he walks on the court.” The UNM Coached informer his father that in light of his academic achievement where he finished the year with straight A GPR has been acknowledged by the Administration and raised his Scholarship substantially for the next year.
