PML-Q Parliamentary party leader in the Punjab Assembly Choudhry Zaheer-ud-Din on Wednesday dubbed the Punjab budget as anti-people and expressed fear that the Punjab government would use funds earmarked for development projects on PML-N’s election campaign.
“We would not allow Shahbaz Sharif to run his election campaign with the public’s hard earned money,” he said presenting views in the house on the second day of general debate on the provincial budget 2012-13.
He said the budget was in fact an eye wash and jugglery of words.
Quoting AG Punjab’s report, Zaheer said massive corruption was pointed out in the `sasti roti scheme’ and in the buying of jute bags for wheat procurement campaign.
He said it was beyond his comprehension as to why Shahbaz Sharif was holding central government responsible for loadshedding while his own government had failed to add even a single MW electricity to the national grid during last four and half years.
