Punjab Assembly opposition leader Raja Riaz said on Wednesday that the intensity of the heat had affected Shahbaz Sharif to the extent that he does not have any option except to commit suicide by jumping off the Minar-e-Pakistan.
Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, Raja Riaz stated the provincial ministers are powerless and that there is a one-man show in Punjab, which has ruined the province.
“The provincial finance minister was elected to deliver the budget speech only one day before the budget announcement,” he stated.
“Like the previous four budgets, the current budget will not bring any progress in the province,” he said.
He stated that democracy and the democratic institutions will sustain in the country.
Riaz added that they have adopted a neutral stance over Arsalan Iftikhar’s case as instructed by President Asif Ali Zardari and they will not comment over the case.
“Some people get abdominal pain and associate everything with Asif Ali Zardari, but Arsalan Iftikhar’s case will not bring any earthquake in Islamabad,” he stated.
Answering a query regarding the ‘Memo Commission’, he stated the Supreme Court has formed a bench to announce its judgment over the case.
