Students demand post-graduate classes in college

Girl students and their parents have called upon the provincial government to introduce post-graduate classes in the already built post-graduate block near Women Degree College here.
In 2006-07, the buildings of post-graduate blocks in both the women and boys colleges had been constructed at the cost of millions of rupees. Since then the students and their parents have been struggling to get the teaching staff appointed in the postgraduate colleges. However, last year professor of few subjects were appointed in the post graduate college for boys, however, no step has been taken so far by the government to appoint staff in Women Post Graduate College. According to insiders, the building of women post graduate block is getting damaged due to bad weather conditions and no one is looking after it. It is pertinent to mention here that local MNA Saira Afzal Tarar, who is also chairperson of education task force, had failed to get professors appointment in the college as a result of which most of the girl after passing BA exam discontinue their studies or join some so-called academies which are fleecing the students and poor parents.
