Actress Ann Rutherford dies

Ann Rutherford, who played the role of Carreen – Scarlett O’Hara’s sister in “Gone With the Wind” – has died at the age of 94. According to a close friend, Rutherford had heart problems, and her health had been declining. She was one of the last surviving cast members of “Gone With the Wind.” The brunette actress was not only known for her role in this classic, but also because of her role as Mickey Rooney’s teenage girlfriend in the Andy Hardy series. She retired from the screen in 1976, and the last movie in which she appeared in was the “Won Ton Ton — The Dog Who Saved Hollywood.”
