The bhatta (extortion) mafia is still at large in the metropolis, as another man was killed in the recent firing incident for declining to give extortion money this morning, officials said on Tuesday. According to police, the incident took place in the city’s scrap market Shershah Kabari Bazaar, where gunmen hailing from a bhatta group targeted traders for not capitulating to their demands, killing a man Kherat Ali and injuring the other.
