Armed Forces Institute of Pathology (AFIP) was awarded ISO-15189 accreditation by Pakistan National Accreditation Council (PNAC), in a prestigious ceremony held here on Tuesday.
Minister for Science and Technology Mir Changez Khan Jamali was the chief guest on the occasion. All six laboratories (departments) of AFIP were simultaneously accredited for this highly coveted achievement. The institute becomes the pioneer institution in the country to have satisfactorily met the criterion as per ISO-15198.
It may be mentioned that Armed Forces Institute of Pathology Rawalpindi is one of the premier health care establishments of Pakistan Armed Forces. Ever since its inception, it has gone from strength to strength in its stated mission of provision of diagnostic facilities, imparting postgraduate training in many disciplines of pathology and promotion of research and development activities. As a quality conscious establishment, the institute has stringent protocols for the analysis, performance and systematic efforts to improve it.
‘Youth of Balochistan love Pakistan’: Some invisible forces are trying to achieve their vested interests, but the youth who love their religion, the Holy Prophet (PBUH) and the country will foil such conspiracies.
This was stated by Professor Dr Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman, vice president, International Islamic University Islamabad on Tuesday, addressing the participants of 13th seven-day Islamic training programme for youth leaders from Balochistan, organised by Dawah Academy.
He said that people of this country are related to each other on the basis of religion and not on the basis of any material grounds. He further said: “Pakistan is our identity and for its survival, development and growth, we need efforts of the youth.”
Dr Sajid added that after knowing views of the students of this course from Balochistan, it has been clear that the propaganda about the prevailing situation in the province is totally baseless and that its youth love Pakistan.
Some of the key initiatives taken to improve this dept. but still there are more things left which nearly needs to be done, hopefully with some good instant and ideas they will be able to produce a great deal.
