Aitzaz Ahsan on Tuesday said he had informed Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry about the rumors regarding his son, Arsalan Iftikhar, adding that it was his duty to inform the CJP about them. Talking to reporters, the former president of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) said the chief justice had thanked him for coming and told him he would ask Arsalan about these rumors. “I did not show any documents to the chief justice. I am not saying that this evidence is correct or accurate, but this is a sad day,” he said. Aitzaz said he was shown the evidence by Malik Riaz, which now everyone had seen. In his view, the allegations were serious and expressed confidence that the bench will do its job.
