Prolonged power outages coupled with scorching heat has hit people across the country hard, with two people dying of severe heat in Daska and Sambrial on Monday. Low supply of fuel and gas to power plants resulted in the electricity shortfall climbing to 4,482MW on Monday. A spokesman for the National Transmission and Dispatch Company Limited (NTDCL) said hydel power plants were generating up to 4,417MW, thermal units 1,212MW and 5,739MW of electricity was being supplied by IPPs.
Electricity remained absent in major cities like Lahore for up to 12 hours, while the situation was much worse in rural areas with 18-hour outages. One of the two men killed by severe heat on Monday was identified as Muhammad Asif Khan, while the identity of the other could not be ascertained. Also, electricity supply was cut to 16 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, after a fault emerged in the main transmission line from Guddu. The Quetta Electricity Supply Company chief engineer said the transmission line coming from Quetta to Gudu developed a fault resulting in suspension of supply to 16 districts of Balochistan, including Quetta, Sibi, Jalal Magsi, Bolan, Harnai, killa Saif Ullah, killa Abdullah, Pishin and Zhob.
And The Gov Is dong nothing to over come this shortage. In these 4 Years how much electricity has been included to the national power. can they answer this.
Case should be registered against government for murder of these these persons
