Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Munawar Hassan on Monday said the conspiracy against Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry had failed and the perpetrators had been exposed.
During a telephonic address to journalists at the Okara Press Club, Hassan said the hearing in the Arsalan Iftikhar case and the Supreme Court’s “clean and clear” decision would strengthen the institution of the SC.
“End to the PPP rule is near and the masses have to decide whether they knock out PPP before the election or in upcoming general election,” he added.
He said a ‘convicted person’ of the ruling PPP, Yousaf Gilani was “all talk but no reason or logic”.
Hassan said eventually all apposition parties would have to unite on a single platform.
