Former Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) President Asma Jahangir, subjecting the Supreme Court (SC) to severe censure stressed the judges should have lent ears to her client, the former ambassador to the US Hussain Haqqani.
Sparring with the media men here, Ms Jahangir said she has remained Supreme Court Bar’s president; however, she is being disregarded to the core.
The judicial commissions should behave sensibly and sagaciously, she said.

  1. Memo commission report would have been more credible had the commission given the opportunity to Hussain Haqqani for recording his statement either in london or via Video link.

  2. Timing of releasing Memo Commission Report is extremely significant. It has been made public on the day Malik Riaz filed statement clearly stating that Arsalan Iftikhar son of Iftikhar Chaudhry received Rs.342.25 millions which included foreign excursions of Iftikhar's family including his wife. Still Iftikhar says he does not know anything. Can any one tell a bigger lie? Iftikhar should be immediately removed from his office and subjected to intense interrogation by some JIT (Joint Investigation Team).

  3. Much Ado About Nothing: Unfortunately the whole memo commission report is based on 'HERE SAY' of one very shady and obnoxious person namely Mansoor Ijaz. In any pre-trail around the world, this sorry case would have been thrown out as it is totally based on here say which is inadmissible in criminal proceedings. So much ado about nothing.
