USAID has initiated a nationwide painting competition for students to help begin a dialogue on how energy can be conserved. Pakistan has been passing through a grave electricity load shedding for last many years, which has resulted not only in frustration among the general public but has also impacted economy with decrease in employment and investment opportunities. Aimed at participants between the ages of 8 and 17 years, the competition embraces a variety of themes and styles from watercolors to oil paints and color pencils.
Both English and Urdu medium schools are targeted so that maximum number of students may be engaged
