Advisor to Sindh Chief Minister Sardar Haji Khan Chachar visited the graves of the martyrs of Bhutto family in Garhi Khuda Bakhsh Bhutto near here on Sunday.
He visited the grave of assassinated PPP chairperson Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, laid a floral wreath at the grave and offered “Fateha”for the “Isal-i- Sawab”.
The advisor also laid floral wreath at the grave of founder-chairman of PPP and former prime minister Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and offered `Fateha’.
He also visited the graves of former chairperson of PPP and former first lady Madar-e-Jamhooriat late Begum Nusrat Bhutto, late Shireen Amir Begum, the first wife of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto as well as the graves of Shaheed Mir Murtaza Bhutto and Shaheed Mir Shahnawaz Bhutto, laid floral wreaths and offered fateha.
IGP takes note of firing, killing in city: Sindh Inspector General of Police Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah has taken strong note of the people killed and injured in firing incidents in the city.
The IGP on Sunday directed the police officers to ensure safety of the life and property of the people by making the best use of the available resources, said an official release here.
He issued instructions that the police force in plain clothes be deployed in the city besides the uniformed force. He also ordered that the concerned SSP, DSP and SHO must be present at the site of any firing or other incident of violence in the city.
The Inspector General of Police asked for ensuring the cooperation of Forensic Division of Sindh Police in the investigation of killings in firing incidents.
DC South visits Lyari development projects: Deputy Commissioner South and Project Director Lyari Development Package Mustafa Qazi, along with his team of officers, made a detailed visit to Lyari to review the progress in the development projects under Lyari Development Package.
The development projects he visited included water supply, sewerage, roads, renovation of old schools buildings, development of sports grounds, renovation and decoration of boxing clubs and the Football House, said an official statement here on Sunday.
It said that President Asif Ali Zardari has directed for earliest completion of the on-going development projects in Lyari.
Mir Bijarani calls on CM : Federal Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination Mir Hazar Khan Bijarani, MNA Mir Aijaz Khan Jakhrani and Sohrab Khan Sarki on Sunday called on Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah.
They discussed the prevailing political situation in the country as well as matters of mutual interest. They also apprised the Chief Minister of various problems pertaining to development schemes in their respective constituencies. The Chief Minister assured them to address the problems on priority basis.
