Sindh Additional Inspector General of Police Akhtar Gorchani on Sunday evening convened a meeting of senior police officers posted in Karachi to review the law and order situation here.
While talking to APP here he said, “I have called in DIGs and other senior officers to discuss the current law and order situation at 1900 hours this evening.”
He said that the police was doing its best to protect the life and property of the citizens and ensure their security. More security steps would be taken in this regard.
When his attention was drawn to today’s firing incident in Musharraf Colony, Hawkesbay here, the Additional IGP said that according to initial reports the incident was a result of gang-war between two groups.
However, he said, the investigation was in progress. Five persons were killed and one injured in the firing between two gangs.
According to Edhi Centre, the bodies and the injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi. The deceased included Shahzad, Waseem, Kamal, Abdul Salam.
CNG stations to open today: The CNG stations in entire Sindh province including Karachi would open today (Monday). Under the load management plan, CNG stations in Sindh were remained closed for 22 hours on Sunday morning at 9:00 am due to lack of pressure in different gas fields .
The CNG stations in Sindh remained closed for 24 hours but this time two hours relaxation was given to the consumers in the province.
