2Kg gold ornaments, Rs 1 million looted

Three robbers looted two kilograms of gold ornaments and Rs one million from a jeweller’s shop at Main Bazaar Raiwind on Sunday.  Police said the robbers entered the shop of Haji Muhammad Rafiq and took away two kilograms of gold ornaments and Rs one million in cash. After the robbery, traders staged a protest demonstration and closed their shops. They also chanted slogans against police.  Meanwhile, SP CIA Umer Virk reached the spot and assured the traders that robbers would be arrested soon. Police have started investigation.
112 drug sellers arrested : Lahore police on Sunday claimed to have arrested as many as 112 drug peddlers during a crackdown and recovered a huge quantity of narcotics.
On directions of the Lahore DIG operations, police raided places and arrested 112 drug sellers including Liaquat alias Chanda, Razia Bibi, William Masih, Babar Nazir, Rasheedan Bibi, Azra Bibi, Heera Masih, Naseer, Adeel, Bahadar, Hafiz Shahbaz, Sarwar Masih and Pitras Masih. Police also recovered 3 kg heroin worth millions of rupees, 65 kg charas and 1,761 bottles of liquor.
