Karachities staged violent protests against prolonged and unscheduled loadshedding, water shortages and lawlessness in the city on Sunday.
It should be mentioned that several areas of city including Chakra Goth, Korangi and adjoining areas were facing worse power crisis and water shortage besides poor law and order situation for the past few days.
Hundreds of citizens annoyed over unfavourable situation took to streets on Sunday to lodge their protest against the lack of basic facilities.
The enraged protestors set ablaze several vehicles and pelted stones damaging various vehicles. The violent protestors also ransacked a KESC office.
In Korangi area electricity supply remained suspended for the last one week. The residents took to streets and burnt a truck. Police fired in the air to disperse the protesters.
In FC Area the protesters ransacked a KESC office, destroyed the office furniture and set two vehicles on fire. Protesting people in Liaqatabad burnt a truck and rickshaw and also clashed with police in the area.
