Shah takes up law and order with businessmen

Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah Saturday held a meeting regarding law and order with leading businessmen of Karachi and heads of various trade organization at the Chief Minister House.
The meeting was attended among others by Chairman of Business group Mr. Siraj Qasim Teli, Chairman Sindh Board of Investment Mr. Zubair Motiwala, office bearers of Karachi Chamber of Commerce & Industry, various trade organizations and 80- members delegation of businessmen community, Senior Special Assistant Mr. Rashid Rabbani, Coordinator to CM Mr. Abu Bhai, Special Assistant to CM Mr. Abdul Agha Razzaque, Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Syed Sohail Akbar Shah, I.G Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Shah, Additional I.G Police Karachi Mr. Akhtar Gorchani, DIG Police South Mr. Mushtaq Mahar, SSP’s of South and others. Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister Sindh expressed his sorrows on recent incidents in old city areas of Karachi, and said that the government has decided to all precautionary preventive and proactive measures to combat and control the situation on priority basis. He assured the businessmen community, industrialists and traders that prompt relief will be provided to them and criminals, Bhatta Khors, Robbers etc will be apprehended.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah added hat police has been directed to bring results within few days over all in Karachi and particularly in South, of old city which is the centre of commerce, trade and business where there are headquarters of Banks, main whole sale markets, trade centers, etc.
He further said that he has given free hand to police to maintain law and order and maintain peace at every cost, and action be taken against involved elements and criminals across the board without any distinction or favour.
Regarding any political influence, the Chief Minister Sindh clarified that there is no enmity of government with any political group or person, nor we had taken any revenge inspite of excessive by an opponents in the past.
He further said that no person had been detained illegally but we had forgiven to them. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that we will not allow any one to commit excessive to any one but we will provide relief to the affected people, businessmen and traders.
He said that as a Chief Minister, he is over all in charge of every department and all issues of the province, as such he daily receive reports from every department about there performance. Chie Minister Sindh warned that incase of any crime committed in any jurisdiction, the DSP and SHO of that area will come under action, and they can be suspended.
He further said that the Law and Order in interior Sindh is in control, while the bhatta khori, target killing will be rooted out from Karachi. Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that changes have been made in police officers in South area of City, which is even upto DIG level and police officers have been entrusted responsibility to show their best performance and results.
He assured the businessmen community that government is committed to protect the life and property of every citizen and there will be no any interference in the affairs of law enforcing agencies and they are working in free atmosphere.
Inspector General Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Shah informed the meeting that within available resources, the police is exercising its powers to bring law and order situation under normalcy.
He informed that 10 more police mobile vehicles 30- motor Cycles and police force has been added in Old City area to speedy cover the law & order, while more police force from interior Sindh and F.C personal are being added.
He said that there had been talk of installation of surveillance camera’s since last 5 years while we are installing 1000 cameras to record and detect the crime. AIG Police Karachi Mr. Akhtar Gorchani assured the businessmen and traders that they will be consulted as far as law & order is concerned.
He said that police will discharge their duties with responsibility and dedication.
Earlier, Mr Siraj Qasim Teli Chairman Businessmen Group, Mr. Zubair Motiwala, Mr Javed Shaikh, Mr. Hafeez, Muhammad Ismail, Mr. Aszhaul Hasan, Mr. Muhammad Haroon, Mr. Talat Mehmood, Mr. Muhammad Yousif, and others highlighted the problems of businessmen/trade community. They also stressed to take action against criminals and bhatta khors at an earliest.
