Riaz has relations with many political parties: PM

Pakistan Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani has said that Malik Riaz, the main character behind Arslan Iftikhar graft case, is a friend of everyone not only Rehman Malik.
“Not with Rehman Malik alone, but Malik Riaz has relations with almost all political parties and their leaders,” Gilani said.
Talking to media persons in Lahore on Sunday, the Prime Minister said that Malik Riaz was a friend of everyone including Nawaz Sharif, the president of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz.
He said that he could not discuss Arslan Iftikhar as the case was being heard in the court. The PM said that he was not elected by judiciary but the masses, adding the government had no conflict with judiciary as he restored the judiciary.
“The chief justice should hear my son Abdul Qadir Gilani’s case. I have faith on him (CJ),” the PM said.
Replying to a query regarding parliamentary election, he said that the elections would be held after completion of five year terms.
He said that their was no chance of martial law in the country as his government had closed all the ways of martial law.
The Prime Minister said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz violated the respect of the Parliament, adding that if Chief Justice of Pakistan is not hearing the case of his son then he should listen to the case of his (PM’s) son.
He said that there was no space for martial law in the country. He added that he was playing complete inning.
Gillani questioned that why PML-N chief did not become a party in Arsalan Iftikhar’s alleged graft case.
“They (the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz) became a party in memogate, NRO, rental power plants and contempt case, but why not this time? May be Nawaz Sharif is enjoying good relations with Malik Riaz,” Gillani said.
He said the government respects judiciary, facing all cases filed against the ruling clique.
