The police FM radio station will start functioning soon. This was stated at a meeting chaired by the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Sindh, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, at the central police office here on Saturday, a spokesman of the police said.
It was informed that after permission from the Pakistan Electronic Media Authority (PEMRA) and Frequency Allocation Board (FAB), the police FM radio station would start functioning soon.
The necessary arrangements for the setting up of this station are being finalized. The meeting was further informed that the police FM radio would air information and news pertaining to the flow of traffic, alternative routes, accidents, weather conditions and debates etc for fostering awareness among the citizens on various issues. On the occasion, the IGP also reviewed the entire project of the e-policing. The meeting was informed in detail regarding various segments of the e-policing projects including traffic control and command centre, Madadgar 15 centre including GIS vehicle tracking system. E-driving license and video conference system.
