MQM kills its workers after they become ‘useless’, says Afaq

Mohajir Qaumi Movement-Haqeqi (MQM-H) has warned ex-secretary general of MQM-H Amir Khan, who joined arch-rival Muttaheda Qaumi Movement (MQM) few months back, of life threats from his party – MQM.
MQM-H Chief Afaq Ahmed stated this in a press conference at his house on Saturday. Few years back, they had received some signals of Amir Khan’s possible joining of MQM and they had tried to make him understand that MQM would not tolerate him if he joined the party as he was following Mohajir’s principled agenda in fight against MQM Chief Altaf Hussain. He alleged that Altaf Hussain had become captive of RAW agent Muhammad Anwar and they had tried to make Amir Khan understand that he would be removed if he took stand against any wrongdoing.
It is MQM’s old game to use its workers for getting its nefarious designs fulfilled and to kill them afterwards. He said Azeem Ahmed Tariq, Ahsan Tariq, Dr Nishat Malik and Khalid Bin Waleed were the examples who were killed by MQM itself after achieving its goals. Even today, MQM workers were being killed by their own party targeted killers and this killing was controlled by MQM leader Muhammad Anwar from MQM London Secretariat. Ajmal Pahari, a MQM targeted killer, had confessed before the joint investigation team that his party used its workers and later killed them,” Afaq alleged.
Few days back, ex-MQM Councilor Khursheed Iqbal was killed in Malir and Sultan Kapil and it also killed it worker in Korangi while another MQM worker Raees Ahmed was killed in Landhi. All these people were killed by MQM itself as they were the strongholds of MQM and no other party could even think to operate in these areas. Now MQM blamed and nominated MQM-H workers in the murders of all above MQM workers. Police was supporting MQM in registration of baseless cases against the MQM-H workers and one of its examples was nomination of MQM-H worker in murder case of MQM worker Raees Ahmed in Landhi. He said MQM was taking revenge from MQM-H and trying to pressurize them to leave MQM-H by lodging cases against them. It is our demand from the government and law enforcement agencies to investigate the killing of MQM worker Raees Ahmed in Landhi, Afaq demanded.
If any MQM-H worker was found involved in killing of Raees Ahmed, then they will cooperate with law enforcers and they will present the nominated persons before the court for trials, Afaq assured. Although, the law enforcers lodged FIR against MQM-H on demand of MQM in Raees Ahmed’s murder case, but any action of law enforcers against nominated MQM-H workers before the allegations raised against them proved would not be tolerated at any cost. If the administration tried to initiate action against the nominated MQM-H workers before the claim against them proved, MQM-H would decide its future course accordingly, Afaq Ahmed warned.
