At least eight persons were killed and six others injured when a passenger van fell in River Neelum late on Friday.
According to details, a passenger van with 14 people on board while on the way to Pathika from Muzaffarabad, plunged into River Neelum as driver lost control of the vehicle due to careless driving.
Police and rescue teams could not reach the scene as the accident took place in a far flung area.
The local people on self help basis pulled the corpses and injured from river and shifted them to hospital.
However, the rescuers have to face difficulties in their rescue activities due to darkness.
