All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) Multan held a protest demonstration on Saturday, demanding a 200 percent increase in salaries.
Hundreds of clerks of various government departments carrying banners and placards marched through the MDA Chowk of Multan.
The protestors chanted slogans against the federal government for not complying with the promises made with the clerks.
They demanded the government for a 200 percent increase in salaries and other privileges in accordance with the surge in inflation.
The protesting clerks also warned that they will boycott their official work, and that there will be district wide protests if demands were not fulfilled.
