The Sindh Zakat Department has prepared a comprehensive package of providing financial assistance to four hundred deserving rain affected people of Hyderabad district. According to the package, 400 deserving people who lost their valuables in heavy rainfalls last year would receive financial assistance of Rs 5,000/- from Sindh Zakat Council during the current month, informed Chairman District Zakat Committee Hyderabad Sher Muhammad Pirzada. He informed that Sindh Zakat Minister Muhammad Sajid Jokhio and Chairman Sindh Zakat Council Justice (Retd) Zahid Qurban Alvi are striving hard to provide financial assistance to each deserving rain victim of the province. He informed that deserving rain victims from Dehs SITE, Ganju Takkar, Husri, Seri, Gujjo and Hatri of Taluka Hyderabad Rural, Shah Bukhari, Mirzapur and Guru of Taluka Qasimabad and some dehs of Hyderabad City and Latifabad talukas of Hyderabad district have been selected for the said financial assistance in the first phase. An amount of Rs two million will be distributed among these deserving rain victims at a ceremony, which will be attended by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah as chief guest, he informed.
