Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah Khan said on Thursday that the Punjab finance minister had not resigned from his office yet and that the party leadership will take a final decision about Rana Asif.
Talking to the media outside the Punjab Assembly, he said the minister was facing a controversy over his minority status and dual nationality.
He said they had submitted their recommendations to the party leadership and soon they will come up with an ultimate decision.
The minister said the next Punjab budget would be people-friendly and that no major tax was being imposed.
A new mechanism, he said, was being devised to enhance tax collection.
