English medium schools would be set up in every Taluka in the province. This was stated by the Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy, Pir Mazhar ul Haq. He was presiding over a meeting at the Sindh Education Foundation office here on Thursday. The Minister said that for promoting English education, a boys and girls primary school in every Taluka would be converted into English medium school. The number of such schools would be increased gradually, he further stated. The Minister directed that Provincial Secretary Education to submit report in three days regarding every Taluka school. He said that in these English medium schools the teachers who have qualified test from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) and Sindh University, would be deployed for duty there so as to help enhance the academic standard. Pir Mazhar said that in Karachi, Hyderabad, Nawabshah and Mirpurkhas districts primary schools have already converted into English medium schools on experimental basis and that better results have come to the fore in this regard.
