Two robbers were killed in exchange of fire with police here late Wednesday night.
According to details, the police signaled to stop a suspected motorcycle with two riders in Ghalib Market area of Lahore.
However, the motorcyclists instead of stopping sped towards Guru Mangatt Road. The police chased and approached them in nearby locality.
The police tried to arrest the culprits but they started firing. In retaliatory fire, the two suspects stated to be robbers were killed.
Police took the motorcycle into custody and shifted the bodies for postmortem.
The police said robbers killed in the fire exchange were wanted in several incidents of dacoities and other crimes.
