Two persons including a lawyer and his brother were killed when unidentified armed assailants opened fire at them on late Wednesday night.
According to the police, Advocate Ashraf Zameer along with his brother Bakhtiar was heading towards his home located in Kotli Sattian. They stopped at a shop in Shahzad Town police station jurisdiction, to purchase fruit when unknown gunmen appeared at the scene and sprayed bullets at both of them, injuring them severely.
The attackers fled the scene after the incident, taking advantage of the darkness.
The injured were rushed to the hospital but they died on the way before getting any treatment.
A case has been registered against the unknown murderers and the police has started a search for them.
