Youth appreciated for their spirit to help destitute

Known drama writer Hasina Moin has appreciated the youth of Karachi for their spirit to serve destitute and disabled people. Speaking at a ceremony organized by Sahar Foundation, an NGO comprising Karachi university students and youth of the metropolis, for intellectually challenged children on Sunday evening, she said such activities were crucial to engender confidence among special children. Hasina Moin suggested that service oriented activities also needed to be replicated in all spheres of life and at all levels in the society. The play wright said both private and government owned television channels must focus on issues related to intellectually challenged children and people living with other disabilities so as to create awareness among people in general. “These people need or attention and sensitive handling,” she said.
