Pandemonium in the house

PML(N) managed to put on a show in the National Assembly yet again. Although last year’s performance was not short of ridiculous, N league apparently felt that they needed to go a step further during this year’s budget speech. One wonders if this was the much needed ‘constructive and positive role’ that made them drop the idea of resignations; had they not been in parliament they could not have showed the nation and the world how capable they really were of tackling the country’s problems as an opposition or the now seemingly remote possibility, future government.
What intrigues me is what exactly were they hoping to achieve by this vandalistic show? How by any stretch of imagination did this shredding of culture and civility help their countrymen, or even their own party? Well what did they actually achieve then? The only message N league managed to convey was that there is no limit to how low they will go for apparent political mileage, and that they do not have any plan of action for ridding this nation of the current crisis and also that the threat of a new rival force has played havoc with their political acumen. They act now like an attention seeking child, suffering from Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder owing to the arrival of a new, more likeable sibling.
