Notorious dacoits and drug pushers arrested

Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Islamabad Police has busted a notorious gang of dacoits and also arrested 13 other outlaws including a woman besides recovering snatched mobile phones, looted cash, 5 kilogram hashish, 1.070 kilogram heroin, wine and weapon from their possession, a police spokesman said on Tuesday.
According to details, IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik assigned the task to SP (Investigation) Ch Liaqat to trace the culprits involved in crime cases of heinous nature.
Following these directions, a special team was constituted under supervision of In-Charge CIA Bashir Ahmed Noon which succeeded to bust a notorious gang of dacoits and arresting 13 other persons during last week.
The nabbed dacoits were identified as Nawab Khan alias Nawabi resident of City Town Peshawar, Shaukat Ali s/o Faqeer Khan resident of Sharfif Abad No.2 Peshawar. They confessed to commit several dacoities along with their accomplices in the area of Shehzad town police station.
Meanwhile, a female accused identified as Hassan Taj w/o Imran resident of Peshawar was arrested for having kilogram hashish during special checking at Motorway Bus stop in Tarnol police area.
Likewise, 12 other nabbed persons were arrested for their alleged involvement in burglaries in various areas of Capital, drug pushing and possessing illegal weapon.
They were identified as Babar s/o Jehangir, Asif s/o Bhoota, Abid Khan s/o Shamas ul Akbar, Aftab s/o Anwer Javed, Waseem s/o Iqbal, Sharafat s/o Muhammad Faiz resdients of Rawalpindi, Zeeshan s/o Niaz Muhammad resident of Mardan, Sameul Masih s/o Barkat Masih, Ejaz s/o Muhammad Ilyas, Bilal Shah s/o Abdullah Shah, Moon Younus s/o Younus Masih residents of Islamabad and Maqsood Ahmed s/o Muhammad Sultan. CIA police also recovered stolen cash worth hundreds of thousands of rupees, pistols, and 1.070 kilogram heroin from their possession. SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials to intensify efforts against anti-social elements.
