The Lahore High Court (LHC) asked the Punjab government on Monday to submit a plan on June 25for controlling dengue. LHC Chief Justice Umer Atta Bandial heard the case. The petitioner stated that several people had lost their lives due to the incompetence of the Punjab government. He stated that the provincial government has not carried out any effective steps to control dengue. The government’s counsel however, replied that all steps have been taken and that fumigation will be done after the first spell of rain. The court directed the Punjab government to submit their plan to control the spread of dengue this season.
