Three more dead in Karachi firing

At least three more people were killed and eight others injured on Monday in two separate incidents of overnight firing in the city, police said.
Meantime, various city areas including Garden, Pan Mandi, Napier Raod, and Kharadar remained tense with business and commercial activities brought to a standstill in protest in the wake of firing incidents.
In a recent violence incident, a man Sharif was shot dead and another was injured in a firing incident in Garden area of Dhobi Ghat.
Sharif, a rickshaw driver was targeted at a time when he was waiting for passengers. Another rickshaw driver Anees was also injured in the attack.
The firing incident triggered panic in the adjoining areas including Garden, Azeem Plaza and Dhobi Ghat, where the shops and other businesses were soon closed down in protest against the violence incidents.
Meantime, another 60-year man, Habibur Rehman was divested of his life in Mianwali Colony of Manghopir. Tension overnight prevailed in Pan Mandi area after miscreants riding over a dozen motorbikes resorted to intense indiscriminate firing.
The firing was so concentrated that the police mobile van could not dare retaliate. The firing critically injured milk shop owner Haneef, his servant Asghar, Yousuf and Irfan.
The injured were shifted to Civil Hospital, where a man Irfan succumbed to injuries.
In another sabotage activity, the armed men opened fire in Kamli Gali of Kharadar injuring milkman Zubair and SherAlam.
