On monday, the teachers in Quetta continue their hunger strike for 26 consecutive days in order to get their demands fulfilled.
The All Government Teachers Association (AGTA) launched the hunger strike more than 3 week ago for the fulfilment of their 26 demands including the restructuring of teachers’ time scale, increase in conveyance allowance and promotion of junior teachers from grades 18 and 19.
Several teachers were taken to the hospital due to poor health conditions during their hunger strike.
The teachers vowed that they would not end their strike until a notification accepting their demands was issued by the provincial government.
