Solo show on glimpses of nature concludes

A solo exhibition of paintings on stunning glimpses of nature by established artist Matloob Baig concluded here Sunday at gallery 6. A collection of 25 paintings of oil on canvas was put on display entitled “Vivid Vistas” that focused on striking beauty of nature including changing seasonal beauty.
Famous for his landscapes, Matloob Baig explored the subject through the medium of art to reflect splendor of the seasons, effects of sunlight, adoration of multi-colored lakes, clouds and atmospheric romance.
The artist used brilliant colors with exquisite skills, and took nature as inspiration to create tranquility in scenic beauty through excellent outdoor atmosphere. Presence of real tones gave originality to the work as shimmering hues and freshness of landscapes captured the images in their true form. The show served the viewers as descriptive, capturing the beauty of colors and their chromatic effects in nature in spring, summer, autumn or winter.
Summer art camps for children from today : Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) has arranged Summer Art Camps for children here from June 4 to offer exciting opportunity for young minds for exploring their hidden talent.
The participants have been divided into two age groups 4 to 8 and 9 to 15 years old to experience and create drawing, paintings, sculpture, singing, dancing and many other forms of visual and performing arts.
The classes will continue till August 10 with learning opportunities for budding artists to get extra skills besides their regular studies.
Talking to APP on Sunday, Director General PNCA, Tauqeer Nasir said the courses have been planned to introduce the young minds with basic training of drawing, use of pencil, sketching and paints while the performing art lovers will know about the skills to sing and dance.
