Rabbani’s father laid to rest in Karachi

Mian Atta Rabbani, father of Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, was laid to rest here on Sunday.
His funeral was attended by a large number of friends, family members, party workers and neighbours at the Sultan Masjid in DHA. He breathed his last on Saturday after a prolonged illness. He was about 90 years of age. The late Rabbani had the distinction of serving as the ADC to the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Chairman of the Senate, Nayyar Bukhari and several other prominent personalities attended the funeral prayers of Mian Atta Rabbani.
Others to attend the prayers included Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Senators Ilyas Bilour and Said Ghani, Ministers Khurshid Ali Shah and Naveed Qamar, Chairman, Public Accounts Committee, MNA Nadim Afzal Chan, senior political activist Mairaj Mohamamd Khan, PPP activists Taj Haider, Waqar Mehdi, Rashid Rabbani, Ali Nawaz Shah, Mirza Ikhtiar Baig and Zahid Bhurgari. Former president of Supreme Court Bar, Munir Malik, Barrister Kamal Azfar, Masroor Ahsan, Aqil Karim Dhedhi, Latif Mughal, Siddiq Abubhai, Manzoor Razi, H.M. Ghanchi, Salim Zia of PML (N) and Bashir Jan of (ANP) besides people from different walks of life also attended the prayers.
