Protests in Khyber against power cuts

Prolonged power outages in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities compelled people to observe shutter down strike and stage violent protests against the issue on Monday.
Dozens of enraged people went on rampage in WAPDA Colony at Bannu city during a shutter down strike, damaging public and private properties in protest against the load-shedding.
Two protestors were injured after police resorted to firing and tear-gas shells to disperse the infuriated mob.
In Charsadda town, shroud-clad traders took out a rally and staged a sit-in at the city’s central market, carrying a symbolic coffin in protest against the unannounced load-shedding.
They chanted slogans against the rulers and called for early resolution of the power cut issue.
