Girls clinch top three positions in KU B Com exams

Tahreem Altaf, a student of Shaheed-e-Millat Government Degree College for Women, Azizabad has bagged first position in B.Com annual examination for 2011 by obtaining 848 out of 1100 marks.
According to a press release issued by the examination department of Karachi University on Sunday Sehar Muneer (seat number 278567) of Defence Authority College for Women scored 843 out of 1100 marks and clinched second position.
Munazzah Amin Panawala (seat number 278592) of Defence Authority College for Women acquired third position in the exams by scoring 841 out of 1100 marks.
According to Controller of Examinations, KU, Prof. Dr. M. Arshad Kazmi 24010 candidates had got themselves registered for the exams, however, 22906 appeared in it with pass percentage being 21.58 percent.
Eleven hundred and seventy (1170) candidates clinched first division, 3768 got second position and four students passed their exams with third division, 17694 were declared fail.
